A message from our CEO

Avalon-Airport-Message-from-the-CEO

From everyone at Avalon Airport we wish you all the best at this uncertain and difficult time.

To say that the COVID-19 crisis is the biggest shock to the Victorian community in over 50 years is an understatement. The return of Stage 3 and 4 restrictions places physical distance between us and our families, friends, schools, shops, restaurants, cafes, sport and colleagues.

However I am optimistic that the measures now in place will be successful, and the short term pain, as difficult as we all find it, is protecting lives and our longer term future. I look forward to the day when we are allowed to move freely once again.

At Avalon we continue to prepare for the return of regular flights. Jetstar has delayed the reintroduction of domestic flights until the beginning of October. AirAsia continues to operate the occasional cargo only flight.

Meanwhile our team is getting used to wearing masks, meeting online rather than in person, and spending a lot more time indoors.

We hope that you remain healthy, and look forward to winning this battle so we can return to a normal way of life as soon as possible.

Justin
