Does the Airport provide secure parking?

Avalon Airport has 24-hour onsite security and the car park is locked each night after the last flight. * All vehicles parked within Avalon Airport Carpark are parked at the owners risk. No liability will be taken by Avalon Airport for lost, damaged or stolen vehicles


Does the Airport provide undercover parking?

Undercover parking is not available at Avalon Airport.


Do I need to book car parking?

No bookings are required to use the car park.


Where is the car park located?

The car park, is located directly in front of the Terminals and is only a short walk.


How do we pay for parking?

Parking is paid for upon your return at one of the pay stations. There are two located in the Arrivals Terminal whilst one is also located in the and Departures Terminal and also near the exit gate within the car park. Payment can be cash, or credit card.


Are lockers provided in the terminal?

No. For security reasons the Airport does not supply storage lockers.


Can I leave my car keys for someone to come and collect my car from the car park?

No. For security reasons the Airport cannot be responsible for passenger belongings.

Who do I contact for bus transfers to and from Melbourne?

Sunbus offer services to meet each flight. Contact Sunbus on (03) 9689 7999 or visit Sunbus


Who do I contact for bus transfers to and from Geelong?

Avalon Airport Shuttle offer services to meet each flight. Contact Avalon Airport Shuttle on (03) 5278 8788 or visit Avalon Airport Shuttle


Is there a bus transfer between Avalon Airport and Tullamarine Airport?

There is no direct transport between the two airports.
Current transport options are;

  • Sunbus into Melbourne CBD and then shuttle bus to Tullamarine Airport
  • Hire car
  • Taxi


Is there a taxi rank located at the Airport?

Yes, the taxi rank is located just outside the Arrivals Terminal. Taxi bookings are not required.


How do I find accommodation close to the Airport?

How do I obtain the use of a wheelchair?

Please contact Jetstar on 131 538 to arrange a wheelchair.


What is the street address of the Airport so I can find it by GPS?

How long before my flight do I need to be at the Airport?

Jetstar requires passengers to check in at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.


Does the airport provide wireless internet?

"Every Where Internet" kiosks are located in the Departures hall, whilst wireless access can also be purchased at this station.


Are there any shops or food outlets?

There is currently a newsagency and a large selection of food and beverage options. A new fully licenced bar along with a variety of hot food is available whilst a grab and go section allows passengers to pick up quick snacks.
