Sharp Airlines announces NEW Route

Sharp Airlines will launch a new airline services connecting Avalon and Adelaide on Monday 12 October, further expanding their network of services.

 Managing Director Mr. Malcolm Sharp announced today that Sharp Airlines will commence a trial service between Avalon and Adelaide.

 Mr. Sharp said Sharp Airlines was providing regional passengers more opportunities by allowing them to fly to a greater list of destinations.  

 “We are very excited to be announcing the trial, as no other Australian regional airline currently offers Avalon to Adelaide services,” Mr. Sharp said.

 “Our Avalon-Adelaide service will represent Sharp Airlines’ third service available to Adelaide from Victoria, and will ably support our vision for developing a significant presence in the South Australian market.”

 While it usually takes approximately nine hours to drive between Geelong and Adelaide, the flight will take approximately two hours, including a 15 minute stop over in Portland.

 “The aim of the trial is to establish customer demand; if the trial is successful we will continue the service and look to grow of network of services further,” Mr Sharp said.

 In the past year Sharp Airlines have carried in excess of 55,000 passengers throughout Victoria and South Australia, and are expecting this number grow with the commencement of the additional flight schedules.
