The following Board structure has been formed to facilitate implementation of effective governance of Avalon Airport Australia Pty Ltd

Executive Chairman

David joined Linfox in 1989 and with his 16 years experience within the business has worked in a variety of management roles including Supervisor for the Victorian Division, Operations Manager in New South Wales and Queensland and a Senior Management role in the United Kingdom.

In January 2001 David was appointed to the role of Managing Director of Linfox Airports Pty Ltd, where he currently overseas the airport management and business opportunities.

David is also on the Board of Directors for Avalon Airport, Linfox Airports and Fox Group Holdings and in May 2003 was appointed Director of Operations for the Australian Olympic Committee for the Olympic Games held in Athens 2004.

In March 2004 Qantas announced that it would use Avalon Airport for its newest budget airline, Jetstar. Since then David has overseen a $3million upgrade which included refurbishment of the existing terminal as well as a 900 space car park to cater for the expected 1200 daily passengers.

The addition of passenger flights at Avalon Airport is a major milestone in the history of the airport and for Linfox. Plans are also being drawn up for a major commercial development on the site.

In November 2004 Linfox’s Avalon Airport was honoured by the Australian Airports Association for aviation excellence, in being named the 2004 Regional Airport of the Year.

Mr Bill Kelty AC

Bill Kelty AC is a Non-executive Board member of the Linfox Group. He has more than 30 years experience in industrial relations.

Bill began his career in the early seventies working in various positions In the trade union movement. This involvement led to his becoming Assistant Secretary of the ACTU in 1977, a position he held until, in 1983, he was elected ACTU Secretary. He remained Secretary until February 2000.

In his role as Secretary, Bill was responsible for industrial relations policy and practice in all industries, especially oil, the waterfront, retail, airlines and transport. Importantly he was responsible for helping to negotiate national fiscal policy including the introduction of compulsory superannuation for the Australian workforce.

In addition to being a non executive director of the Linfox Group, Bill’s current activities include being a Director of Hotel Leisure Tourism Trust of Australia, AFL Commissioner, Chairman of AFL Sports Ready, member of the AFLPA Education & Training Board, Member of the AFL Foundation, Chair, Ethical Clothing Trades Council of Victoria, Member of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, Director of Virtual Communities and Director of the Bank of Queensland.

Bill was awarded a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2008. He has a degree in economics from Latrobe University in Victoria.

Mr Ari Suss

Manager, Corporate and Government Affairs – Fox Private Group

Ari Suss is Executive Director of the Fox Private Group, the private family investment arm of the Linfox Group.

Ari joined Linfox in 2004 as Manager of Government and Corporate Affairs for the Linfox Group of Companies, having provided specialist expertise in regulatory, legislative and political matters for the company’s logistics, property and aviation businesses.

Between 1999 and 2004, Ari was a senior adviser to former Premier Steve Bracks. During this time he specialised in policy and advice in the areas of infrastructure development, transport, ports, major projects, multicultural affairs and parliamentary strategy. Ari has developed and implemented numerous large-scale marketing and communications strategies.

In 2007, Ari Suss was elected to the Board of the Carlton Football Club.

Mr Antony Elliott

Managing Director, Fox Group Holdings Pty Ltd

Antony Elliott is the Managing Director of Fox Group Holdings Pty Ltd and a Director of its subsidiaries.

Antony is responsible for assisting the Fox family manage their non Logistics and non Armaguard interests and for providing portfolio advice across their broader interests.

Prior to this role Antony was responsible for Mergers and Acquisitions and Treasury within Linfox Pty Ltd and has worked with Linfox since 2003. Prior to joining Linfox Antony worked in iconic public and private companies in the areas of treasury, M&A, insurance and risk management and strategy.

Antony has a Bachelor of Economics, and a Graduate Diploma of Accounting. He is a Fellow of the Finance and Treasury Association.
